Barbara studied violin with Denes Zsigmondy at the University of Washington where she earned her Bachelor in Music.

She currently is the first violinist in the Seattle String Quartet and performs as a freelance musician.

Her varied experiences include: playing for the Bolshoi Ballet, Kenny G, Anne Murray, New World Symphony, The Ketchikan String Quartet, Yakima Symphony, and the Tacoma Symphony.

Barbara has taught violin and viola students of all ages for over 25 years. She is a State of Washington certified teacher in music, math and elementary. She has also taught and studied Suzuki violin methods for over 15 years.
